We would also like to say a big thank you to Cllr Gary Blundell who brought the RJQ Legacy 🕊️ kits to attention of the councils here in Norfolk also on ITVX News.
Cllr Gary spoke about how he saw the Awareness & Importance of our RJQ Legacy 🕊️kits and the Vital Minutes they can give a person until the Emergency services can reach them and where they can be placed:
- Leisure Centres
- Defibrillators
- Transport
- Hotels
- Pubs
- Library’s
- Shops
- All businesses
These ControlTheBleed Kits can be used by anyone, no training is needed. You will be advised how to use them when ringing 999 and where the nearest one to you is located. They can be used in any emergency catastrophic bleed-out accident.
Update:
Last week, we introduced serious bleed kits in all South Norfolk Leisure Centres. Chair of South Norfolk Council, Cllr Sharon Blundell, celebrated the launch of these potentially life-saving kits with us.
In the event of a traumatic injury, rapid blood loss can become life-threatening in just minutes. These kits are designed to provide critical first aid while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
To support this initiative, South Norfolk Leisure staff have also received enhanced first aid training to ensure they are equipped to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency. This is a vital step to further enhance safety across these facilities.
