Hello, I am the mother of Raymond James Quigley R.I.P. I am raising money to put life saving Bleed Control kits across the Norfolk region and also raising money for Norfolk Accident Rescue Service NARS.
James was the baby of the family. James died at the age of 18 on 17 January 2023 from stab wounds. I felt I needed to do something in his name and memory. I saw on the news another family going through the exact same situation we were. They were fundraising to provide Bleed Control Kits in public places to save lives in memory of their angel. I decided this would be something I would like to do as well. A Bleed Control Kit may possibly have helped James if there had been one close-by when he was stabbed.
Please join us in making a difference. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
What are Bleed Control Kits?
A Bleed Control Kit is designed to provide immediate and effective treatment for severe bleeding.
A Bleed Control Kit is a specially designed emergency medical kit that offers swift access to essential medical tools for first responders from the general public to manage life-threatening bleeding until professional medical help arrives. Every year, lives are lost due to traumatic bleeding, some of which could have been prevented with timely access to the right equipment.
Every minute matters before the emergency services arrive so I feel it is very important to get these kits out in as many places as we can.

Our goal is to ensure these life-saving kits are readily available in as many public spaces as possible like shopping centers, pubs and public transport stations. This widespread accessibility enables the public to act swiftly during crucial moments, as heroes often emerge from everyday individuals at the scene. Bleed Control Kit locations are stored in a national database, accessible by 999 phone operators, who can guide callers to the nearest kit.
